first Ascent, LLC was established in 1997 as an incubator/angel fund organization for student-initiated technology-based startups. The aim of this for-profit company is to focus teams of current and recent students from the California Institute of Technology, the Art Center College of Design and Southern California's leading business schools to initiate their own ventures.
